Walking the boards at sunrise, ahead of the coming rain, a brief glimpse of the sun as a red smear at the horizon is all that I can take away as I start my day...sailors be warned.
Walking the beach as sunrise approached with my daughter Victoria was as wonderful an experience as I can imagine. From the perfect sunrise, to the dolphins feeding off beach, to the two ospreys quarreling over a fish, a perfect beginning to the day was our mutual experience.
Heavy cloud cover and humidity made the sunrise late to appear today but, when it did, it was well worth the wait.
As another muggy, hot day approaches, the sun came up with a heaviness that matched the weight of the air as it pulled itself above the horizon. Breaking free from cloud cover at the horizon, a beautiful sky painting emerged.
